Evening Devotion: Grace

“For by grace you have been saved…..created in Christ Jesus for good works.” Ephesians 2:8-10

Grace is one of the most beautiful concepts in all of Scripture. It is mercy that God extended grace and it is a miracle that He changed our hearts.

The grace of God on our lives empowers us to walk with God in holiness and do the good works God ordained for us.

The book of James is known for talking about faith and works. Some people think those things are opposite, people think the same thing about grace and works. But the thing is we are saved by grace alone and that grace also empowers us to do good works.

We have received grace and we should also show grace and one of the ways we can do that is by our good works.

Take some time tonight and reflect upon the relationship between grace and the good works we are called to.

Read Ephesians chapter two. Pray through it, ponder it, ask the Lord to help you walk in the good works He has called you to.
