Evening Devotion: Seek

“When You said, “Seek My face,” My heart said to You, “Your face, Lord , I will seek.”” Psalm 27:8 NKJV

Seeking God is the most important thing we can do. There are variations of this mentioned throughout Scripture. Two that come to mind are seeking God’s face and seeking the Kingdom.

We seek God through His Word. Psalm 16:7 NKJV “I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel; My heart also instructs me in the night seasons.”

Joshua 1:8 is also a familiar passage,
“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

Seeking is not something we do occasionally or just on Sundays it is a daily thing. Seek God in every aspect of your life. Pattern your life according to the Word of God. When we seek Him our footsteps will be lead in the right direction.
