“Indeed, can anyone understand the spreading of clouds, The thunder from His canopy?”
Job 36:29 NKJV
A loud clap of thunder and the house shook, and I was awake. This happened a few moments ago. My weather app said there was hail, so I got up to look and now, there’s just a light rain.
Lightning, thunder, rain, and supposedly hail. Enough to shake me awake. Job 38:18-22 NKJV “Have you comprehended the breadth of the earth? Tell Me, if you know all this. “Where is the way to the dwelling of light? And darkness, where is its place, That you may take it to its territory, That you may know the paths to its home? Do you know it, because you were born then, Or because the number of your days is great? “Have you entered the treasury of snow, Or have you seen the treasury of hail,”
The thunder this morning and how quickly a heavy rain can go to a light rain makes me think of the sovereignty of God. Read Job thirty-six through forty-two and be amazed at everything that is under the power of God.
The book of Job should bring us comfort in reminding us that even the most difficult times are under the watchful eye of God. Instead of questioning, we can rest in trusting Him. As I listen to the rain and hear thunder in the distance, I am reminded that he holds all. Rest in the fact that He holds all.
