Happy New Year

We got some light rain yesterday and a little more steady rain for a little bit this morning after many dry months. It’s nice to see rain, especially as we enter the New Year on God’s calendar tonight.

A couple of weeks ago, I started recording my Friday night teaching, so if you want a complete teaching on 5784, that will be uploaded later tonight on Podbean.

I am writing a quick post to give you a heads-up on some things, one being that Friday night teachings will now be available via podcast. Another is in 5784/2024; we will study the Bible the way Jesus did by going through the weekly Torah Portion. The rabbis divided the Torah into weekly readings so that it could be read each year. Along with the Torah reading, there is the Haftarah, which is a reading from the Prophets, and as followers of Jesus, Yeshua, we add a New Testament reading as well.

If you have a Complete Jewish Bible, within each portion, it has marks to let you know which part to read each day. You can also get a Journal from Ariel Media, which gives you the daily reading, Biblical holidays, and a daily history fact, as well as space to journal your thoughts.

Many of you may have done a Bible in a year plan before, but reading the Torah Portion will be a different experience for each of us! We will read through the Bible the way Yeshua did and all the Apostles did. This will connect the Testaments for us in a new way. Will you join me on this journey on October 8, 2023, to read the Bible like Jesus did?

Each week, I will teach from the Portion on Friday nights and endeavor to share daily thoughts on the blog or social media. As we go through the Torah, as with previous years on the blog, we will also look at The Feasts of the Lord, connecting with our Jewish roots and the life of our Savior.

I am excited to see what this year of studying Torah will bring, and I hope you will join me on the journey. If you want to get everything, subscribe to the blog and podcast.
