JEWISH ROOTS AND UNDERSTANDING

My Introduction to Jewish Roots came at a Passover conference in 2014. I was invited by a friend and was hesitant to go, but while I was there, I noticed the large Menorah carved from a tree, and the Lord spoke to me and said, ” Learn what this means.” Sadly, I didn’t even know what it was. I went to the bookstore and found a book with that exact same Menorah on the cover, The Messianic Church Arising by Robert Heidler. Shortly after, I purchased a NASB95 Study Bible and began studying the Feasts, the Tabernacle and Temple, and the Old Testament for the first time in my life. That conference changed my life because it changed my foundational understanding and brought me back to the Jewish roots of my faith.

Understanding the Jewish roots of our Christian faith has been a great blessing to my understanding of Scripture and walk with the Lord. The majority of the resources below are based on a traditional Jewish understanding. That being the case, some information will not align with traditional Christian understanding. I use these books as resources to help me understand the Bible, Jewish tradition, and culture. I have a deep love and appreciation for the Jewish people and the Torah, and I enjoy studying it. The Bible is a whole book, and our faith is Judeo-Christian, so gain a deeper understanding of Jesus’ teachings and God’s pathway in the Torah by connecting with your Jewish roots.
