“Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
Romans 12:2 TLV
The only way our minds can be renewed is by spending time in the Word. It’s easy for us as Christians to be conformed to the world because we are surrounded by how the world thinks. From co-workers to the shows we watch, and the news we hear; it’s all from the perspective of the world.
But that shouldn’t get us down; we know we are pilgrims passing through and that the kingdom we belong to is not of this world. That’s why daily time reading and studying the Bible is important.
There are no secrets to developing a Bible reading habit, we simply have to train ourselves, and the best way to do that is to set aside a specific time each day to read the Bible.
Start with a chapter each day; reading a physical Bible (so you are not distracted by notifications on your phone). Journal your thoughts, and pray. I know that sounds simple, it’s too easy, but that’s how you start renewing your mind and transforming your life – one day at a time in the Word of God.
