“For Messiah’s sake, then, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in distresses, in persecutions, in calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:10 TLV
Yesterday Grace Life Church in Alberta, Canada met in an undisclosed location after the government put three fences around the church building and put locked chains around the doors. 200 police were present yesterday to enforce the government’s tyranny.
We are promised persecution in this life, and we are seeing the beginning of it in places we never thought we would. Some people say churches must do whatever the government says, that is not the case when governments tell us to disobey the law of God.
The Supreme Court of the United States just narrowly overruled a decree in California banning home Bible studies. We are at a time when each of us must know where we stand. If we are not willing to stand for truth, the Word of God, and the command of Scripture to assemble together, we will not stand when things really get tough.
We see in America that Christian leaders are either standing for truth, or they are bowing to ungodly ideologies like critical race theory, the LGBTQIA agenda, or government overreach because of the situation they are manipulating. Do not follow the men and women who are bowing down. Do not forsake the truth. Do not follow in their downgrade. Follow the examples of men like Pastor James Coates and Dr. John MacArthur.
These are days in which we must stand. We must bear fruit. We must contend for the truth once delivered to us.
