The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. Those were the words of the Apostle Paul in a letter to the Corinthian church. I’m sure by now you have heard of the leaked draft from the Supreme Court that will reverse Roe. It’s not a done deal yet, so we need to keep praying. With that being said, a friend texted me a few minutes ago and asked me what the Lord was saying to me about this; this was my response,
We are about to see a spiritual warfare realm the majority of the body isn’t prepared for; many believers will begin to fold because leaders will say there is nuance, and people won’t want to stand. Three major issues will cause believers to enter the road of rejecting the faith:
- LGBTQ+
- Abortion
- Rejecting the Jewishness of Jesus and Israel
We are about to be in the battle of our generation, and it will rage on many fronts. Christians need to have their armor on, but not only that, we must learn what our spiritual weapons are and how to use them. I sense the political [nature] of this will be overshadowed by demons manifesting in people to the point people can’t explain it away.
After I sent that text to my friend, I leaned back in my chair and said Lord, what is going on in the spirit realm? None of those three issues are political, even though they are seen as such. It hit me when I said that the church isn’t prepared for spiritual warfare because, by and large, we see things as political and not spiritual. There is a real enemy, and there are actual demons, and they are organized.
Ephesians 6:10-13 AMPC “In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides]. 11 Put on God’s whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil. 12 For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere. 13 Therefore put on God’s complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place].”
Any political issue has an underlying spiritual nature. With the possibility of the enemy losing the god of Molech in this nation, the spiritual war is about to ramp up, and we need to be prepared. We need to have the armor on, and we need to be in prayer.
A week ago, the Lord spoke to me and said, refresh yourself in the ministry of deliverance and how to do spiritual warfare. Years ago, I heard a minister say each spiritual battle requires its own strategies from the Lord. I didn’t understand what that meant at the time, but I began to understand last week. Spiritual warfare is constant, but it is not fluid. Just as the enemy changes tactics and strategies, we must also be led by the Spirit in how we war.
With this possible decision, we have entered a new level of war, not just for the nation but the church in America. Over the last several years, we have watched pragmatism take over in new ways and have watched once-solid leaders bow their knees to the spirit of the age. As Christians, we must decide now; will we follow apostate leadership or will we stand firm on the Word of God and engage in the spiritual battle of our generation. Each of us has a choice, and we must be strong in the Word so that we will not be deceived. Read the Word more than ever, listen to it, and consume it in big chunks. Read the same portions repeatedly and ask the Holy Spirit to give you strategies to overcome the enemy.
The day may be dark, but the light is shining. The battle is raging, but our footing can be sure. This is the victory that overcomes the world, our faith! And we overcome the enemy by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony.
