Exodus 12:1-3, 23-24 KJV “And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, 2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you. 3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house: 23 For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you. 24 And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever.”
We have entered the first month of the spiritual year. The month of Nisan is a time of miracles; we see this with the plagues of judgment against Egypt and the separation of the Hebrews in Goshen (Ex. 8:23; 9:4, 26; 10:23; 11:7). You could say it’s a double miracle. This year, we had double Adar, a time of double joy! And as we enter the month of Nisan, we are drawing near to Passover in a decade of Passover.
Passover began the redemption process; even though redemption was and is immediate, there is a process. The wilderness was a time of getting the Egyptian mindset out of God’s people and preparing them with a mindset of freedom and healing.
Look at Ephesians 4:22-24 in the Amplified Classic, “Strip yourselves of your former nature [put off and discard your old unrenewed self] which characterized your previous manner of life and becomes corrupt through lusts and desires that spring from delusion; 23 And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude], 24 And put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God’s image, [Godlike] in true righteousness and holiness.”
This is what the first three months of the Feast calendar are about. We are being called into freedom and wholeness. Meditate this month (April 9, 2024-May 8, 2024) on the book of Ephesians, even over these next three months. When we get who we are in Christ down on the inside of us, our mindset and words change, and that’s how circumstances change.
Two of my favorite passages are Mark 11:23-24 and Proverbs 4:20-22; let’s look at them.
Mark 11:22-24 KJV “And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”
We must have faith, and we must speak it. Our faith is based on the Word of God, and that’s why faith words see results!
Proverbs 4:20-22 AMPC “20 My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my sayings. 21 Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart. 22 For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh.”
Faith only works when we are submitted to God, and the Word works only if we speak it. That’s why Psalm 107:20 says, “He sent His word and healed them and delivered them from their destructions.”
Let the Word take root in you over these next three months, cultivate good soin in your heart for the Scriptures (Mark 4:1-29), and watch the breakthroughs come!
If you want to sow a Passover offering, These two ministries are specifically on my heart this year:
