Father, you are the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. You are the God of Israel. Today, I mourn with Israel the loss of the First and Second Temple. But as Your Word says, weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. On this day of fasting and mourning, I pray for the hope of the Messiah to be received in Israel and the building of the Third Temple.
Father, I pray for the eyes of Your Church to be opened to Your eternal covenant with the people and the Land of Israel. Lord, break off the lie of replacement and fulfilment theologies, rid your Church of Jew hatred and the misunderstanding of the purpose and power of Your Law, it is your path, and we are to walk with Jesus on Your Path.
Father, may those of Your people who are not fasting today, who are far from You, return, may a love of Torah fill their hearts. We pray for the awakening and returning of Your people to Your Land. Lord, I ask for the safety and release of all the living hostages and the recovery of the bodies of those who had their lives taken from them. I pray for the comfort of your people who mourn today; mourn for their family, and mourn for your Temple, your House of Prayer for all nations.
Father, I pray that this fast day will soon be turned to the day of rejoicing as promised in the Scriptures. Father, help your Church to humble itself, to repent, and to come alongside your people. To stand for them, your promises, and your land.
In Yeshua’s name.
